Interview with Zach Strebeck - The Board Game Lawyer Zach Strebeck (aka the Board Game Lawyer) is an attorney who has covered the legal aspects of board games before. In this interview I speak to Zach about some issues that board game fans such as ourselves might encounter in our cardboard travels and how not to get the pants sued off us. Hi Zach! Could you start by telling our audience a bit about who you are? My name is Zachary Strebeck. I am a video game and board game lawyer, which means that I help game companies at all stages with the many 11/26/2017

Dispatch - Chapter One Dispatch is an interactive murder mystery subscription box that has captured my attention and did not let go. I talked up its addictive qualities as well as highlighted some concerns in my previous article. Well, the second box arrived and again, I found my expectations defied and that central element of mystery extending well past the story and into the physical product. Again, this article will focus on discussing the concepts employed, my impressions of the offering, and veer far away from 11/21/2017

Calvin's Corner - Star Cartel FINALLY! No more hauling Berk innards and formaldehyde; you’ve hit the big time, baby! Welcome to the Star Cartel! The most important thing about the Star Cartel (even more than the payouts, the ships, and the fame) is the fact that in space, no one can hear you scheme. So when you pull your ship into the docking bay laden with precious crystals, weapons, and miniature snow globes, the Cartel gets most of the moola but you skim a little for yourself. Raf Reviews - D-Day Dice “Clear the ramp! 30 seconds!” That line comes from Saving Private Ryan just before a number of US LCVPs landed on Omaha beach and disgorged hundreds of soldiers onto the sands of Normandy. It’s a powerful and memorable scene. This setting is also the setting for the D-Day Dice map included in the demo kit Word Forge Games sent me in advance of their D-Day Dice 2.0 Kickstarter and that line rattled through my brain like the dice I was tossing on the table. D-Day Dice if a game of advancement 11/10/2017

The pilot had to ask us our weights to balance the plane, the door between him and the seats was a curtain, and I’m pretty sure if I’d sneezed it would have rocked the plane. Nevertheless, these airborne tin cans serve their purpose admirably. Island Hopper is a game of hopping behind the controls - or paying a friend to man them - and 11/03/2017
