Calvin's Corner - Odin's Ravens Odin's Ravens 2nd Edition: A tense, beautiful race game that perfectly fits the two player bill. The sublime illustration of Johan Egerkrans. Every day, the ravens of Odin fly out into the world in order to tell him what's going on with his domain - one goes east, the other west. Over the centuries, the daily flight has turned into a race, and neither of them are above cheating a little. Long way to go. Raf Reviews - Tesla vs. Edison Duel Note: I was provided a prototype copy of Tesla vs Edison: Duel for this review. The game is currently on Kickstarter and components and rules may be subject to change. Three or four years ago Matthew Inman published a comic about Nikola Tesla and launched this little known inventor into the pop culture consciousness. Between his public (and successful) attempts to save a Tesla museum and the fancy electric car slowly hitting the market, Tesla’s name is much more familiar to households. In 2015, 04/18/2017

Calvin's Corner - Capital Lux Review Political machinations meet mechanical bite: Capital Lux is beautifully intense all the way through. Capital Lux is a small box card game with one deck of cards and a fistful of tokens that nevertheless remains one of the most ruthlessly political games I’ve ever played. The Capital calls. Will you answer? Colin the Board Game Bear wants you to play Capital Lux. The game is incredibly simple: before each of its three rounds, players will draw a hand of profession cards. Raf Reviews - The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen We don’t spend an awful lot of time talking about RPGs on Ding & Dent but they’re something we both enjoy. Unfortunately, many of them can require significant dedication of time. Between the rules to learn, characters to create, and worlds to inhabit, it’s rare to find one you can casually play in under an hour. That’s what makes The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen so appealing. The rules are extremely simple and you can play anywhere. I have literally played at a bar, replacing 04/08/2017

Calvin's Corner - Geoff Engelstein Interview Hi Geoff! Thanks for coming. Could you briefly tell the readers who you are? Thanks for inviting me to do this! I’ve been a gamer all my life - board games, RPGs, computer games, really everything. But my foray into the public world of gaming was about ten years ago, when I joined the Dice Tower podcast with my GameTek segment, about math and science in games. About 7 years ago I started the Ludology podcast with Ryan Sturm, to do deep dives into board game design. A portrait of the 04/02/2017
